A lignin free, wet form chemical pulp with a mixture of Nordic Hardwood and Shortwood fibers and it comes with high cellulose content (over 90%). The low kappa number recovered cellulose fibers is feasible for making specialty papers, tissues, food packaging and more in the industry.
After we upcycle the waste into raw material, it’s sold to manufacturing companies who produce the end product and complete the upcycling journey. These end products may include A4 copier paper, tissue paper, food packaging, and more!

Regulatory: We review local, regional, and national regulations to confirm how each item in the accepted waste list can be safely collected, shipped, and/or stored in each market.
Technical Up-cyclability: We assess the material composition of the accepted packaging waste and convert it into usable raw material for product manufacturing companies.
Practical Up-cyclability: We consider real-world factors (like contamination levels or vendor and equipment limitations) to confirm that we have a viable supply chain to upcycle.

We are looking at setting up a 1 ton capacity pilot plant with a semi-automatic process. This pilot plant will enable the progression of MIW’s upcycling technology to a point of commercial readiness, as well as acting as a meeting point for label packaging stakeholders to work together to close the loop.
In the near future, we are aiming to scale up via using existing assets to have a commercial facility of at least 100 tons capacity. Thereafter the technology will be licensed out and/or produced in own facilities on a global scale.
